FABULOUS FOUNDRY FINDS (CON’T)
BY THE PROPHETS
Things are looking a bit bleak for you and your crew. Duvar
may be dead, but the Dominion forces around DS9 have now
set their sights on you. As you prepare to defend yourself,
the remaining 7th Fleet ships warp in and begin suicide runs
on the enemy forces. With their hands full, you have an op-
portunity to slip past them and escape through the worm-
hole, though this will inevitably mean the destruction of the
remaining members of 7th Fleet. Will you stand your ground
and help them, or escape through the wormhole and back to
the safety of your own timeline? The choice really is yours,
and your decision will affect the ultimate outcome...
A very good ending to the overall storyline, the author manages to make the transition from part 1 to part
2 almost seamless, and again you have the feeling of being involved in something larger than just yourself
zooming about shooting bad guys!. There are numerous events that tie in with the DS9 series, and this again
helps to give the mission a very authentic feel to it.
The combat is heavy, with plenty of troops/ships to shoot at. It isn’t all that difficult, but then again I was
running it on normal and flying a bug ship. Both missions are also dialogue heavy, however without it the
mission would lose so much. As mentioned already, the DS9 references help make these missions as enjoy-
able as they are.
Couple of sore points, in part 1 the Fleet Admirals ship is called the USS Rolor, however in part 2 it is called
the USS Rolon. A small point, but slightly annoying. Also, when Gerrard helps, I personally feel that it should
have been you that he put in Command of the fleet, but again I can appreciate why the author didn’t do that.
Overall, I did slightly enjoy part 1 more than this one, though it was very very close. So, I will
give this 4.5 stars out of 5.
